Counseling for Victims of Crime

Trauma-informed counseling for people harmed by crime and for their families, in Avondale, in Phoenix or by telehealth anywhere in Arizona. We accept Arizona crime victim compensation.

After a Crime, Support Can Help You Find Steadier Ground

Being harmed by a crime, or losing someone to one, can shake your sense of safety. Fear, anger, trouble sleeping or replaying what happened are common reactions. Counseling offers a steady place to work through them, at your own pace.

We work with adults, teens and children, and with family members affected by what happened. Care is trauma-informed: safety, choice and trust come first.

Help Paying for Counseling

Confianza Health accepts Arizona crime victim compensation. Arizona's Crime Victim Compensation Program can help eligible victims and their families with crime-related costs, including mental health counseling. It pays what other sources, such as insurance, don't cover.

You apply to the victim compensation program at the county attorney's office in the county where the crime happened. There are requirements. For example, the crime generally has to be reported to law enforcement within 72 hours, and the application filed within two years of the crime or its discovery. Either deadline can be extended for good cause. Your county's victim compensation staff can tell you what applies to you.
