Couples Counseling in Avondale and Phoenix
A shared space for partners to slow down conflict, understand each other and reconnect. In person or by telehealth, in English and Spanish.
Room for Both of You
Couples therapy can help partners slow down conflict, understand one another's experiences, communicate needs more clearly, and practice healthier ways of responding.
You don't have to be in crisis to start. Many couples come in to handle a big change, to stop the same argument from repeating, or to feel close again.

Common Reasons Couples Reach Out
- Communication difficulties
- Recurring conflict
- Loss of trust
- Emotional distance
- Life transitions
- Parenting and co-parenting
What Sessions May Look Like
Your clinician makes room for each of you to be heard. Sessions may include:
- Understanding the patterns behind repeated arguments
- Clearer ways to ask for what you need
- Repair after hurt or broken trust
- Sharing the load of parenting and daily life
- Ways to stay connected between sessions
Approaches We May Use
Depending on your goals and your clinician's training, couples work may draw on approaches like these.

FAQs
Does my partner have to come to every session?
Not always. The therapist will recommend a session structure based on the concern, the people involved, and the treatment goals.
What if there's violence or fear in the relationship?
Your safety comes first. If you're afraid of your partner, individual support is often a safer place to start than couples sessions. Our domestic violence support is confidential within legal and clinical limits, and the National Domestic Violence Hotline is available any time at 1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. You can meet in person at our Avondale or Phoenix office, or by telehealth from anywhere in Arizona.
Do you offer couples counseling in Spanish?
Yes. Our team works with couples in English and Spanish. Se habla español.
